Parkway Healthcare from Singapore has organized the health talk for the women in Kuching. I went with a few friends and really enjoyed the Advance Management of Breast Cancer by Dr. Khoo.
Adroit Global and WA Women Specialist have launched a series of women health programme in Year 2011. The 1st women’s health talk was at SIB Olive Garden at Kota Sentosa. We arranged for the pap smear and other health screening for the women. Sarawak Women’s Health Day 2011 was attended by 45 women, most of the women have participated in one or all the health screening tests.
The 3 health topics were Breast Cancer, Menopause and Cervical. These talks were delivered by Matron Guence, Gadung and Dr. Wendy respectively.
It was a small step in creating awareness of women’s health in Sarawak. We hope to go to Sibu, Miri and Bintulu to do health talks in Year 2011 and coming years. Ladies take up the roles in knowing and taking care of your health.
